Joe Buckley was a successful school leader, a building principal and superintendent of schools, for many years. He recently retired as Superintendent of Schools in Bedford, Massachusetts having served in that capacity for twenty years. Throughout his career as school superintendent, Joe recognized the value of building relationships, collaboration and team-work; they enhanced his leadership capacity to achieve positive results. In addition to school leadership, Joe has completed sixteen marathons; together they have prepared and taught him how to continue when confronting adversity.
Today, Joe is a partner in Edclectics, LLC a leadership consulting organization. His clients have included: The Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, Symmes, Maini & McKee Associates, Coastal Educational Collaborative, as well as a number of school districts in Massachusetts. Joe's primary work involves building leadership capacity; he: makes presentations on a variety of leadership topics; mentors new school superintendents; and teaches leadership at the graduate school level.
