Chris Midgett Memorial Scholarship

Chris was a graduate of Bedford H.S. and a member of the Northeastern University football team. During spring break, Chris was shot by a gang member in Virginia under mistaken identity.  Everyone who knew Chris was struck by his strength of character, kindness, and amazing spirit.

Dennis Lehane Memorial Scholarship

Dennis was a star athlete during his career at Reading High School. Dennis was a receiver/defensive back during his senior year in 1991. Dennis died in a tragic accident as he fell off a ladder while performing elevator maintenance.

Bryan Sullivan Memorial Scholarship

Bryan was a member of the St Clement H.S. football team his senior year in 1989 as a receiver/defensive back. Bryan caught the last ball of the year to tie Trinity Catholic 6-6 on Thanksgiving Day. Bryan was killed in a car accident the morning after his high school senior prom while he was on the way to play golf.

Joseph O'Malley Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Joe is a member of the Boston English H.S. Football Hall of Fame. Joe lost his battle with cancer at an early age, leaving a devoted family. Joe's lifelong mission was two fold; First, he dedicated his life to the mentally challenged; second, he dedicated himself to raising his family with high values and the heartwarming compassion for other human beings.

Greg Kasabian Memorial Scholarship

Greg most recently coached at Tynsboro H.S. Other coaching stints included, Wakefield HS, Reading HS & Waltham HS.  Greg was a member of the Bridgewater State College Football team in 1979. Greg lost his long battle with cancer at a early age and left behind a young family.

Ron Wood Memorial Scholarship

At 36 years old, Ron lost his battle to cancer in January, 2003. Ron left behind his wife and mom. Ron was the Defensive Coordinator at Wakefield HS. Ron's high school career at Stoneham H.S. included All-Conference honors.  Ron was a longtime supporter of MasterSports and will truly be missed. 

Darren Gallup Memorial Scholarship

Darren was a member of the Belmont Hill Football team in 2002. Darren had a stellar career at Belmont Hill and was planning on attending Harvard University in the fall of 2003. Darren, at age 18, was killed in a car accident while driving home.

Steve Henley Memorial Scholarship

Steve was the president of Wayland/Weston Pop Warner and a High School Coach a Wayland High School. Steve dedicated his life to assisting athletes. Steve was a long time supporter of MasterSports. In 2003, Steve suffered a stroke at the age of 45 and passed away.

Larry Klimas Memorial Scholarship

Larry was the Head Football coach of Methuen High School.  Larry is a member of the Lawrence and Methuen H.S. Athletic Hall of Fame, and both the Massachusetts Football and Track Coaches Hall of Fame. Larry Klimas' name is synonymous with excellence in athletics. Larry's battle with cancer ended in 2002.

Charlie Sardo Memorial Scholarship

Charlie was an outstanding football player at Malden Catholic H.S. He played his college football at St. Mary's College in Canada earning national recognition as an offensive lineman. He returned to the U.S. and with help of his father and brother built Mama Rosie's Pasta Company into one of the leading manufactures of frozen pasta in the U.S.  Charlie coached  at M.I.T. for 7 years. He said he was at his happiest when he was on the practice field at M.I.T.   He will be remembered for his honesty, integrity, and loyalty. Charlie succumbed to cancer in 2003.

Jeremiah F. Sheehan Memorial Scholarship

Jerry was a teammate of Skip Bandini at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Jerry was an outstanding WR as well as Class President of MMA Class of "81". One of our most memorable moments of Jerry is when he, as a member of a search party, found a boy that was lost in the woods for 24 hours on Cape Cod. Jerry was well loved by all for his humorous ways. We miss him since his death at age 27 from an automobile accident.

Staff Sergeant Christopher Piper Memorial Scholarship

On June 16, 2005, at the age of 43, Staff Sergeant Christopher Piper died from injuries sustained on the battlefield in the country of Afghanistan.  Staff Sergeant Piper played football at Marblehead High School and later went on to coach Marblehead Pop Warner. Loyal and dedicated to creating a free society throughout the world, Staff Sergeant Piper ( a American true hero ) sacrificed his life for the goodness of others.

Captain Kyle Van De Giesen

Kyle achieved his life long ambition by becoming a U.S. Marine Corp. helicopter pilot.  He sacrificed his life in the line of duty serving our country in Afghanistan.    He was the quarterback of the North Attleboro High School football team.  He led them to a championship during his senior year and was named the Hockomock League offensive MVP. He was a Boston Herald and Boston Globe All-Scholastic player and a Sun Chronicle All-Star. He participated in the Children’s Hospital Classic and was awarded the MVP. He was also quarterback of the St. Anselm College football team.  Kyle is a true American hero and an example to us all.

Individuals may now elect to make a donation in the name of one or more of the players/coaches we have memorialized.  You can also chose to make a undesignated donation.  Either way you'll be providing educational scholarships for deserving college, high school, and/or youth football players.
