MasterSports is a non-profit corporation created to promote the game of football. We here at MasterSports have two missions:
MasterSports was founded in 1999 by Skip Bandini. Skip's original intent was to provide an opportunity for football coaches to get together and discuss football.
Beginning in the High School Cafeteria of Bedford High School in Massachusetts Skip organized discussion groups and presentations on various aspects of coaching football.
In 2000, Skip conducted his first truly organized football clinic. He decided to donate all the money he received after expenses to selected football players attending his summer
football camp, then called the Masters Football Camp and currently incorporated as Champion Coach Inc.
Skip established these awards as a memorial to some special men that have played and/or coached Football. This tradition has continued to the present, and
all scholarship awards are made in the name of a former player/coach.
In 2003, with the size of the Coaches Clinic growing Skip made the decision to incorporate MasterSports and establish a Board or Directors. Skip became and remains the President of the Board of Directors. One of the main tenants of the Board of Directors is that all members are volunteers, and receive no remuneration for their services. This allows MasterSports to maximize the amount of funding they can award.
To date MasterSports Inc. has awarded $113,500 to 136 young men to assist them in furthering their education; and continues to provide excellent instruction to football coaches.
MasterSports philosophy is to "give back" to our community. We believe that sports provides an excellent promise to transform a town, city, state, or a country, but it also can reach deep and transform just one life. We are pledged to do our best to facilitate that promise.
